Welcome! I'm Lorena. I live in the beautiful Monterey Peninsula, in sunny California. Sewing found me a little later in life. It all started when my mother-in-law, an avid quilter, gave me a beautiful lap quilt as a gift. I instantly fell in love with the color combinations, the pattern, the cozy feel of the quilt, and I decided then that I wanted to learn how to quilt and sew myself. I asked my mother-in-law if she would teach me how to quilt, even though I had never touched a sewing machine in my life before then. Bless her heart, she said yes, and we brought her down to spend a week with us for a crash course on sewing and quilting. I went online and ordered an inexpensive sewing machine in preparation for her visit. The rest, as they say, is history!

Needles to say, I no longer own that sewing machine. In fact, I immediately returned it at the end of that first week, realizing that I had found and discovered a passion and knew that I would need a more reliable sewing machine. I have not stopped sewing and creating ever since and time has only served to increase my passion for sewing. I always tell people that I've caught the sewing bug...!
